An Integrated Approach to Success

In this age of good governance, a democratic concept based on the principles of equal rights and freedoms for all citizens, the successful implementation of a giant state project that impacts on many people's lives and livelihoods relies on the cooperation and participation of everyone concerned.

The Western Corridor is the first project of its kind in Thailand to be carried out in collaboration with all sectors of society. Public sector agencies include the Office of Transport and Traffic Policy and Planning (OTP), the State Railways of Thailand (SRT), the Expressway & Rapid Transit Authority of Thailand (EAT), the Mass Rapid Transit Authority of Thailand (MRTA), the Department of Highways, and the Department of Rural Highways. Representing the private sector are community leaders such as heads of sub-districts and villages, NGO's, and educational institutes, the mass media, and most importantly, the public at large. This collaboration will enable the project to proceed most effectively.
